WRINKLE SMOOTHING INJECTIONS
Wrinkles and fine lines are often the first signs of ageing you notice, particularly around the eyes and across the brow. Wrinkle Smoothing Injections are a fantastically effective solution
Dr Mooz only uses safe, clinically proven products and Botulinum toxin has been used to treat a wide range of medical conditions for many years. In the cosmetic industry, it is the most requested treatment worldwide and many millions of procedures are performed every year.
Dynamic wrinkles are caused by the constant contraction and relaxation of our facial muscles as we smile, frown or squint. They appear as crow’s feet around the eyes and frown lines on the brow. Botulinum toxin works by temporarily relaxing these facial muscles, smoothing the overlying skin. Results should be visible after five to seven days and typically last between six and nine months before you require a repeat procedure.
Dr Mooz also uses Botulinum toxin to treat a number of other conditions. A wide, square jaw on a woman caused by the build-up of the strong masseter muscles in the jaw, can be perceived as too masculine. Botulinum toxin injections can shrink the overdeveloped muscles, reshaping the face to produce a more feminine appearance.
DERMAL FILLERS
As we age, the naturally occurring levels of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in our skin start to deplete. These components are what gives our skin its youthful fullness and vibrancy and as they are lost, fine lines and wrinkles appear, and the loss of volume and structure in the mid-face can cause folds to form between the nose and mouth and our jawline to sag.
Dermal fillers, also known as facial fillers, come in a number of different consistencies, depending on where they are to be applied. They can be used to smooth wrinkles and improve skin texture. They can also be used to fill the deeper nasolabial folds or marionette lines. In the cheek area, dermal fillers can help restore volume, providing a natural lift. Dr Mooz also uses dermal fillers as a non-surgical alternative to a chin augmentation.
One of the most popular uses of dermal fillers in the UK are for lip augmentation, particularly with younger women who wish to achieve a more voluptuous pout. Older women that have seen their lips lose volume or fine lines appear around the vermillion border will also see a beautifully natural result with lip fillers.
LIQUID NOSE JOB
The nose is the prominent feature of the face and many men and women are often dissatisfied with its appearance but are reluctant to go under the knife. The non-surgical rhinoplasty, often known as the Liquid Nose Job, has fast become a popular alternative to a surgical rhinoplasty, with instant results, no downtime and less potential risks.
Small amounts of dermal fillers are placed in precise locations to create new a new contour to the nose. Although there are some limitations compared to a surgical rhinoplasty, a Liquid Nose Job can treat a slightly crooked nose, a mild to moderate bump on the bridge, a too-small nose that needs building up and mild to moderate drooping of the nasal tip.
Safety is always paramount. Although there are fewer potential complications than there are with a surgical rhinoplasty, there are still risks you should be aware of and choosing an experienced and qualified medical practitioner is a must. As a plastic surgeon, Mr Mouzakis is well-versed in the complex blood supply in the nose and can perform this procedure safely and effectively.
FILLER FACELIFT
Dr Mooz is highly experienced in advanced injectable techniques and offers patients a non-surgical alternative to the facelift, using dermal fillers to naturally lift, shape and rejuvenate the face.
Results are immediate, there is no downtime, and you can enjoy this natural facial rejuvenation for 12 to 18 months typically before requiring any top-up treatment.
The 3 Point Facelift takes three injection points, one each in the upper, mid and lower face. This means the main signs of facial ageing are all targeted; hollowing in the temples and brows, loss of volume in the cheeks and nasolabial folds and sagging along the jawline. By focusing on the face as a whole rather than specific concerns, the results are more natural looking.
The 8 Point Facelift treats eight separate areas. The facial structure is assessed by Dr Mooz and a small amount of volume is added to the cheekbones, often helping to lift the nasolabial folds. The tear trough or hollowing beneath the eyes is filled with a softer, more flexible filler product. The nasolabial folds which are the deep lines that run from the nose to the mouth can be further improved by adding volume.
The mouth is also assessed as a natural consequence of gravity is for the mouth corners to start turning downwards. This can be very ageing or make the patient look unnecessarily cross so dermal fillers can be used to support the mouth, lifting the smile. As we lose volume in the mid-face and chin, jowls can start to appear. Dr Mooz treats the prejowl area by replacing volume in the hollow along the jawline. The angle of the jawline is then also enhanced. Finally, hollowing of the lower cheek area which can make the patient look gaunt is treated with filler.

MY APPROACH TO AESTHETICS
As a plastic surgeon, I fully embrace injectables either to enhance the results of a surgical procedure or as a standalone, preventative treatment. As with any procedure I perform, my aim is always to enhance rather than change and I believe in producing natural results.
